With an increasingly globalised and multicultural society, universities and institutions around the world are looking for opportunities to provide an international study experience as part of their student course offerings.
The Study Abroad Program (Inbound) is a short-term non-award course that allows overseas students to undertake eligible undergraduate or postgraduate subjects at AIHE, provided subject prerequisites are met, and receive credit towards their home degree.
The program is designed for students currently enrolled in degree courses overseas, as well as overseas students otherwise qualified to enrol at the relevant study level.
Students gain an immersive Australian study experience that can help develop intercultural competencies and support their future professional careers.

Build confidence communicating and learning across different cultural and professional contexts.
Approved subjects may contribute credit towards your qualification at your home institution.
Choose a shorter one-study-period experience or extend your time at AIHE across two study periods, subject to enrolment requirements and subject availability.
A flexible non-award program allowing eligible students to undertake AIHE undergraduate or postgraduate subjects in Adelaide or Melbourne.
The Study Abroad Program offers three commencement opportunities during 2026, with tuition calculated per subject.

Fees are subject to AIHE's published fee schedule and applicable conditions. Check current fee information before accepting an offer.
Applicants must meet the academic requirements for the subjects they propose to study and, where applicable, AIHE's English language requirements.
International applicants: applicants must meet the Australian Government requirements relevant to a Student visa (subclass 500). International students enrolled in the Study Abroad Program are required to undertake full-time study.

Your learning experience depends on the subjects you select and can combine lectures, seminars, collaborative learning and varied forms of assessment.
Participate in seminars, lectures, case studies, group activities and practical support sessions.
Develop ideas through discussion, teamwork and interaction with classmates from diverse backgrounds.
Assessment may include individual and group assignments, exams, tests, role plays, quizzes, presentations and participation.
Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning may be available on application where relevant requirements are met.
The Study Abroad Program is available at AIHE's centrally located Adelaide and Melbourne campuses, subject to subject availability.
