Dr. Wasana Jayawickramarathna is a senior academic with almost 20 years of progressive experience in higher education, spanning teaching, research, quality assurance, and academic governance. She provides strategic leadership across academic operations, with expertise in program delivery, curriculum development, academic quality frameworks, and institutional risk management.


Wasana holds a PhD in Marketing, with research focused on Social Marketing, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Management (Marketing). Her career reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth. She has led curriculum design, student success initiatives, and quality improvement, while developing systems that promote inclusive and high-performing learning environments.


Her scholarly interests include consumer behaviour, social marketing, corporate social responsibility, and marketing research, and she continues to advocate for evidence-informed teaching practice and high academic standards.

Dr Diego Domínguez Mejía is an accomplished academic leader with expertise in Economics, Criminology, Business, and Politics. He integrates quantitative analytical methods into his coursework, equipping students with critical skills for data analysis and evidence-based decision-making.


Diego’s teaching areas include managing organisations and people, business finance, applications of quantitative methods in finance, and economic principles. He has also coordinated and lectured subjects on International Criminal Justice, Criminology in Practice, and Criminal Networks. His research contributions include work on political-criminal alliances and cybercrime, with publications that bridge academic theory and practical insights. Earlier in his career, Diego held the role of Financial Coordinator at Ipsos in Colombia, where he participated in the merger process with Napoleón-Franco, preparing and delivering financial reports for the merger and due diligence process.

Dr. Nayomi Wijesinghe is an academic with over 19 years of experience in higher education. She holds a PhD from Swinburne University of Technology, a Bachelor of Business Management in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Nayomi currently lectures in Accounting, Finance, and Economics and has extensive experience in academic administration. She is passionate about student-centred learning, which fosters deeper engagement, enhances critical thinking, and empowers students to take ownership of their learning journey.


Her research interests include corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and integrated reporting. She also serves as a reviewer for the Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal.

Dr Peter Mickan is an experienced educator who has taught across secondary and higher education sectors. He previously worked with the South Australian Education Department’s Curriculum Directorate, contributing to language curriculum development in Vietnamese, Khmer, French, and German.


He has lectured in postgraduate TESOL at the University of South Australia and served as Head of the Discipline of Linguistics at the University of Adelaide, where he established the Postgraduate Applied Linguistics Program. As a Visiting Research Fellow, he continues to supervise PhD students and contribute to research in linguistics, language learning and teaching, curriculum design, and the revival of Barossa German.

Throughout her career, Dr Ho has held various roles, including lecturer positions in private and public universities in Australia and overseas, as well as serving as a director of continuing education. Prior to her current role, she taught English for Academic Purposes at the Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology. She is committed to working with AIHE’s international students and assisting them in achieving their educational goals.

Notably, she was previously the Program Coordinator for IT, Engineering, and Learning Support at the South Australian Institute of Business and Technology. Jane specialises in supporting staff and students, managing educational systems, and enhancing learning experiences for students across diverse backgrounds. She enjoys exploring innovative methods for student engagement and sharing new technologies with staff, aiming to create a positive and enriching learning environment for all.

Marko Savovic has experience across multiple institutions, including the University of South Australia and Flinders University. Marko holds a Master of Business (International Business) from Flinders University, and his professional background encompasses business administration, public service, and non-profit organisations. Following the completion of his Bachelor of Commerce and International Business degrees, Marko worked in the fields of financial planning and insurance, diverging from his earlier work in business administration within the public sector. Marko has been actively engaged in teaching and mentoring business subjects for over a decade and is currently pursuing a PhD in Human Resource Management at the University of South Australia. His tutoring experience encompasses a broad range of topics, including Management, HRM, Accounting, International Business and Business Ethics. He has been a lecturer at AIHE since 2022 and is currently tutoring in the areas of Strategic Planning and Innovation in Business.

Dr Faisal Abdullah is a professional educator and accountant with more than 20 years of experience in a range of fields, including banking, accounting, not-for-profit organisations, and higher education. Faisal is passionate about education, and aspired to become a higher education lecturer since he began teaching in his first year of university studies. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, majoring in accounting, Faisal worked in a commercial bank, where he gained 10 years of experience as an accountant. Through his work experience in banking, Faisal developed a deep understanding of all facets of financial systems knowledge which is foundational to the excellence he aspires to in his teaching practice. In addition to his extensive work experience, Faisal has completed his PhD in Management and Banking Finance.

Nick Hadjinicolaou has over 30 years of consulting and portfolio management experience having completed a PhD in 2019 on Project Portfolio Management and is engaged in ongoing research in organisational agility and AI.He was the Founding Program Director and Associate Professor of the Master of Project Management at Torrens University Australia in 2013 for nine years. Nick has completed over 50 projects in previous senior leadership roles including Digital Transformations, Agile implementations, Portfolio Management and consulting roles for various organisations such as IBM, Telstra, 3Pillars Asia Pacific, Business SA, the state government, NCVER, Torrens University Australia and currently with BAE Systems as an Enterprise Agile Delivery Lead.Nick’s industry certifications include SMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, LPM, Hybrid Agile, AgilePM, PMP PgMP, CMC, CAL-E&T. He is the Founding President of the International Association for Strategy Professionals Australia (IASPA) and Past President of the IMC SA/NT Chapter.

Dr. Steven has been a university lecturer for nearly 40 years. He has taught a range of economics, social science and business courses at all three South Australian public universities. He has also taught for a number of private universities locally and internationally, including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and the Peoples Republic of China. Steven has a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Flinders University. He was the first person to graduate from Flinders University with a professional doctorate, when he was awarded a Doctor of Education, in 2000, in educational policy and educational management. Steven also has a Doctor of Philosophy, in Economics, from the University of Adelaide, where he endeavoured to develop better measures of labour underutilisation. Steven comes from deep working-class roots and personally understands how education transforms lives. In addition to his academic and teaching roles, Steven also ran a successful consulting business.

Dr Antonio Dottore has over 20 years of experience in higher education lecturing. He brings extensive industry experience in public and private sector policy, with significant international exposure, including positions at the Commonwealth Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Citibank (Sydney), INSEAD (Fontainebleau), Fidelity Investments (London), Henderson Investors (London). His research interests cover dynamic capabilities, academic entrepreneurship, and business model adaptation. Antonio has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Australia, China, Singapore, and Europe. At AIHE, Antonio teaches in the areas of economics, entrepreneurship and e-Business. He serves on several governance bodies in the education and social sectors, and he conducts a current affairs program on community radio. Antonio enjoys both face-to-face and online environments and developing ideas with course participants through multiple channels.

Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is an accomplished academic in the field of Marketing, currently serving as an adjunct lecturer at both La Trobe University and the University of Melbourne. He has a rich background in academia, having previously held the position of Assistant Professor at BRAC Business School following the completion of his PhD in marketing. Dr. Ahmed actively contributes to research as a member of the Yunus Social Business Centre at La Trobe University, and he has also served as a Head of the BRAC Business School Research committee. His valuable contributions have been recognised and published in esteemed business and education journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Education + Training, and Non-profit and Public Sector Marketing, among others.

Dr Dess Pearson worked for three decades with the government in policy advising roles. His research, analyses, and briefings contributed to the removal of tariffs on many items, such as coarse grains, dairy products, wool, and fruit by trading partners both bilaterally in free trade agreements and multilaterally, all contributing to enhanced Australian exports.  


Dr Pearson now teaches economics, climate change, international business, international trade and investment, and WTO and FTA trade negotiations across several institutions in Australia, Singapore, China, and Europe. In addition to academic lecturing, Dr Pearson provides advice to organisations, universities, companies, and government agencies on aspects to WTO and FTA trade negotiations, and on trade policy and the environment, including environmental protection policies and activities.


Dr Pearson graduated with a degree in Economics from Melbourne’s La Trobe University, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Public Policy, and a Masters’ in Management from the Australian National University in Canberra. He also holds an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, and a Doctorate (DBA) from the Alfred Noble Open Business School in Zurich, Switzerland.

Dr. Chowdhury Ahmed Shamim has extensive experience in teaching, achieving government research grants, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Shamim's research interests include brand and category growth and decline across various conditions, social media marketing, AI in marketing, category concentration, pricing, promotions, AI in advertising private/ manufacturing label brands, and consumer psychology. Prior to his academic career, Shamim spent four years as a Senior Executive in Business Development within the airline and freight forwarding sectors. In this role, he honed his skills in marketing, sales, project coordination, and stakeholder management, working with diverse teams across Europe and Southeast Asia.


Shamim holds a Master's in Research in Marketing and a Bachelor's in Business Administration with dual majors in Finance and Human Resource Management. He holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of South Australia.

Dr Sadat Khan is an experienced higher and vocational education lecturer. His teaching focuses on the theory/praxis nexus in global business. Sadat teaches across strategic planning and management, operations, SCM, HRM, marketing, and MIS for MBA and Bachelor qualifications. Sadat has a Bachelor in Business Administration, Master of Computer Management and a PhD in international business specialising in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) from DAVV University India and a Graduate Diploma of Management Learning from Australia. Additionally, Sadat worked in the corporate sector for 15 years in China, Dubai, Hong Kong, and India servicing MNC clients, from the US, UK, Middle East, and the Asian subcontinent. He has successfully, initiated, established, and managed high stakes greenfield FDI projects. Additionally, Sadat established and managed his own factories in China, employing over two hundred employees. Sadat continues to pursue research and consultancy interests in the field of FDI, Operations, Smart Manufacturing, and Project Management.

He has held various roles over these years, including IT Engineer, Industry Consultant, General Manager, Vice-President, and Managing Director. Mustafa also serves as a Board Member and Executive Committee Member with the Australian Computer Society. He has a strong interest in leadership, management, strategy, and soft skills development, working with organisations on business strategy development and skills development for staff. He also has a strong passion in helping students get into the competitive Australian job market and to see them thrive in their careers. Dr Samadi Madiwala is a dedicated and experienced academic with over a decade of teaching business management subjects both in Australia and internationally. She holds a PhD from Victoria University, where her doctoral research was underpinned by a novel theoretical framework integrating Human Resource Management and Crisis Management. In addition to her PhD, Dr Madiwala holds a Master of Science in International Management and Strategy and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management (HRM). Her teaching experience spans a range of business disciplines, including HRM, Strategic Management, Quality Management, Innovation, and Change Management.


Dr Madiwala has presented her research at leading academic forums, including the International Conference on Business Management and Governance, contributing valuable insights to the field of business and management.

Dr Roger Haden has been active in higher education since the mid-90s, working in both public and private sectors teaching, researching, and writing in Australia and overseas. Widely experienced in curriculum and course development, he has fulfilled roles spanning disciplinary specialisations in Business, ICT, Tourism, Hospitality, Gastronomy, Communication, Education, and Cultural Studies, together with administration and program start-up. For Dr Haden, it’s all about unlocking the potential of students, improving course delivery, and meeting the educational challenges of rapid change in global society.

Marc Dawes has been involved in tertiary and vocational education for more than 20 years. In addition, Marc spent 17 years as a technical advisor in the Australian Tax Office. Consequently, Marc has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the many facets of business-related activities.


Marc has lectured across a range of subjects, including Financial Accounting, Business Law, Taxation Law, Economics, and Statistics. In addition to his academic activities, Marc is a Chartered Tax Advisor, a full member of the Tax Institute, a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and a member of the Australasian Tax Teachers Association.


Marc also enjoys music performances and will happily discuss classic rock and guitar playing.

She holds an MBA from Central Queensland University and brings a wealth of experience from her over 30-year career in strategic leadership and consulting across the aviation/airport, logistics, banking, and education sectors in both the Middle East and Australia.

Irene’s expertise spans Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Management, Corporate Strategy, Leadership, and Project Management, fostering engagement for both domestic and international students. Dedicated to creating authentic and impactful learning experiences, she views these as vital for preparing students to lead in tomorrow’s workforce. Currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration, her research emphasizes Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, underscoring her commitment to sustainability and social responsibility as cornerstones of her academic and professional mission.

Liliana Bravo is an experienced Business Coach, Social Leader, and Entrepreneur. She is an innovative voice for Latin American and migrant women in Australia by creating innovative programs with cultural, social, and economic impact. She was awarded the Multicultural Excellence in Business Award for the development and delivery of her innovative business model, which economically empowers more than 250 artisan-led businesses in South America and more than 100 local migrant women micro businesses to access the retail and wholesale sector, which had economic, social and cultural impact. This business model was further developed to create a Women’s Empowerment Hub. Liliana integrates her practical business knowledge with her academic qualifications to promote sustainable development within her teaching methods.

Complementing his academic background, he also brings significant industry experience as a Senior Equity Research Analyst, enriching his teaching with practical insights and a strong industry perspective. His approach to teaching and learning is applied, industry-oriented, and strongly student-centred.


Chinthana is a PhD candidate in Applied Finance, with research focusing on predictive modelling in financial and economic contexts. He is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional standards and engagement with the accounting profession.
